Tuesday 21 April - 4 Iyar | Yom HaZikaron (Day of Remembrance) | Day 19 of the Omer

Yom HaZikaron is Israel's Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. At 8:00 p.m. on the evening before, sirens

sound throughout Israel and most of the country stand for 1 minute of silence. At 11:00 a.m., the siren sounds for 2 minutes and again the nation stops to remember those who died.

This week's portion is called Acharei Mot - Kedoshim (After the death - Holy)
