Today in History: The brother of Messiah, the Apostle Yaakov HaTzadik (James the Righteous) was killed in Jerusalem (see historical records: Antiquities 20.197–201, Ecclesiastical Histories 2.23.4,10–18). “But those in the city who seemed most moderate and skilled in the Torah were very angry at this, and sent secretly to the king, requesting him to order [the high priest] Ananus to cease such proceedings.”
