Shabbat Chazon (Sabbath of Vision) is the Sabbath just before the Fast of Av. It is the “saddest” Sabbath of the year. Its name comes from the Haftarah in Isaiah 1. “The vision [chazon] of Isaiah the son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem.”
