S04E03 – Why Are You Still Holding On to That Idol?

Anything that competes for the worthiness of the one true God is an idol. We serve a faithful God who loves us enough to strip away idols to bring us closer to Him.

In the book of Exodus, Israel was covered in idol worship. God sent a prophet, Elijah up to Mount Carmel to face the king of Israel and 850 prophets of false gods. When the Israelites called out to these idols, they were ultimately let down. Because that’s what idols do­; they always lead to disappointment.
