Bonus: Interview with Austin Basis AKA Kenny Spruce from Ghostfacers (3x13)

Hosts Berly and LA take a break from their regular episode recaps to bring listeners a BONUS interview with actor Austin Basis, who played Kenny Spruce in the beloved "Ghostfacers" episode from Season 3 (and the subsequent web series).

After chatting with Austin on Instagram about the Ghostfacers episodes, the hosts convinced him to sit down for a full interview. What follows is an hour-long conversation filled with behind-the-scenes stories, industry insights, and genuine enthusiasm for the Supernatural universe.

Why Ghostfacers Never Got a Spinoff: Timing was everything. The web series lived on the CW's "the web dot com" where shows went to die with zero promotion. If it had launched during the TikTok era with proper social media marketing? Could've been huge.

Austin discusses his upcoming diabetic horror film "Seizure" based on his own terrifying hypoglycemic experience at age 10, his work with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), and why he still does student films and short projects—it's about the work and the community.

The hosts kick themselves for forgetting to ask about specific scenes (like "turn the knob" and "Can I ask you a question? ...Is it cancer?") but agree it was an amazing conversation with a genuinely gracious guest.
