Hosts Berly and LA tackle Season 1, Episode 9 of Supernatural, and surprisingly, LA didn't have nightmares from the bug episode! Progress!

The boys return to their childhood home in Lawrence, Kansas after Sam has a premonition dream—he's finally confessing to Dean about his psychic abilities. Dean is NOT happy about going home and even calls Dad's voicemail for emotional support (while lying about needing the bathroom). They meet Jenny, the new homeowner dealing with weird scratches, flickering lights, and a dishwasher that mysteriously stopped working. Her daughter Sari is convinced something lives in her massive walk-in closet (seriously, that closet is bigger than most bedrooms).

Enter Missouri Mosley (played by the incredible Loretta Devine), a psychic who originally opened John Winchester's eyes to the supernatural world. She immediately gives Dean shit and tells him "Don't you put your feet on my table" before he even thinks about it. The hosts are OBSESSED with her and desperately want her back as a recurring character.

Episode Highlights:

• Another almost-shirtless Dean scene (so close, yet so far)
• Sam casually admitting they're the Winchesters instead of lying (character growth!)
• Richie the "juice junkie" in his "baby jail"
• The poor plumber losing his hand to the garbage disposal in the GORIEST scene of the episode (column of blood everywhere)
• Missouri slapping Dean upside the head and Sam LOVING it
• Dean with an ax (Shining reference from earlier paying off?)
• Sam getting strangled by a lamp cord while doing that hot tension thing Jared does so well
• The big reveal: MAMA WINCHESTER is the flaming spirit protecting her boys
• Mary telling Sam "I'm sorry" (wait, what did YOU do, Mary?!)
• Jeffrey Dean Morgan FINALLY appearing at the very end on Missouri's couch

The hosts discuss poltergeist lore and Berly reveals she had one in her college condo (she thinks she was such a bad roommate she stressed her roommate Libby into creating it). After Libby moved out, the activity stopped. Mystery solved?
