Feed Drop: Dragons in the Details on STAN

Babes! This week we had the immense pleasure of being guest on STAN, a podcast that observes and examines all things fandom.

We sit down with host Allegra to discuss the ACOTAR fandom, romantasy at large, and why these books are for everyone.

Show notes:

I am the rock against which the surf crashes. Nothing can break me.

Our angelic guests Abby and Ronnie (from @DragonsintheDetailsPod) lead the conversation on Sarah J Maas’s A Court of Thorn’s and Roses (ACOTAR) series. We get into the depth and complexity of fantasy world building, the frustrating societal tendency to denigrate media and literature intended for women, the positive impact of elevating relationships written for the female gaze. Tangents include…

• The unfortunate series of events that led to all the teen stars of game of thrones witnessing me have a panic attack
• The ‘clean’ vs ‘dirty’ boy dichotemy
• The underrated ecstasy of organised fun!

We cannot thank Allegra enough for having us on as guests. We hope you have as much fun listening to the episode as we did making it!
