Sv: I vinden på Gotlands kullar stod Astrid.
En: In the wind on the hills of Gotland stood Astrid.
Sv: Hon blickade ut över den urgamla stencirkeln, där stenarna, slitna av tidens tand, reste sig mot himlen.
En: She gazed out over the ancient circle of stones, where the stones, worn by the passage of time, rose toward the sky.
Sv: De var väktare av forntida riter, och denna Valborgsmässoafton var inget undantag.
En: They were guardians of ancient rites, and this Walpurgis Night was no exception.
Sv: Runt omkring henne samlades människor i sina ceremonikläder.
En: Around her, people gathered in their ceremonial clothing.
