A busy weekend as the North London Derby produces another classic, Mark Hughes collects another P45 and Jordan Pickford has a moment to forget. Particular highlights include the welcome return of Tim Sherwood embarrassing himself.

There’s also the Scottish League Cup final, in December, further news of footballers egging innocent members of the public, and a very testing time for Partick Thistle.
