Ep. 083 | Fred Galvin | MARSOC Company Commander and Recon Marine

Maj Fred Galvin is an enlisted Marine infantryman turned infantry officer and reconnaissance Marine that did multiple deployments before taking command of the first MARSOC company deployment after the unit formed. Galvin and his Marines were falsely accused of murdering Afghan civilians during their reaction to a complex ambush that included a suicide car bomb and multiple enemy firing positions. After years of fighting the charges in the military justice system, Galvin and his Marines were found to have acted heroically and utilized precision fires to only take out enemy fighters.
