Funky House 2013: Get Lucky (Disco & NuDisco Mix)

Funky House, Disco House, and NuDisco come together in this 2013 mix titled Get Lucky, assembled as an offshoot of the Beach House series to deliver a flexible summer mood piece. The set was built to work whether you’re sweating through heat or dancing in the rain, favoring groove and feel over a strict seasonal theme. Highlights thread classic and contemporary flavors: Prok & Fitch’s Here Comes The Noise supplies propulsive Disco House energy, Horny United’s You Drive Me Crazy leans into funk-forward grooves, and Daft Punk’s Get Lucky appears in two different reinterpretations that bookend the mix. Club-ready reworks from Joey Negro and a David Morales revisit of Ultra Nate add seasoned remixcraft, while Duke Dumont’s Need U (100%) keeps things current and floor-friendly. Clocking roughly 90 minutes, Get Lucky balances vintage-leaning disco edits with modern funky-house productions to create a warm, danceable arc intended as a mood-enhancer and a brief detour from the annual Beach House editions.
