Funky House: Disco Chic (2020) Cosmopolitan Disco House

Funky house and nu-disco meet in Disco Chic (2020), a cosmopolitan uptown set crafted to soundtrack late-night cocktails and stylish floors. This mix favors polished, lounge-ready grooves over raw club grit, aiming for a sleek, Manhattan-or-Martini vibe while keeping the rhythm firmly danceable. Highlights include the set-opening Milk Bar & Santarini feat. Antonio Contino’s “Manhattan,” Julien Jabre’s “Swimming Places,” and contemporary disco turns like the Purple Disco Machine remix of Elton John & Taron Egerton. The mix also threads classic vocal edits into the sequence with Diana Ross (Eric Kupper Remix) and Candi Staton (Ian Ossias Downtown Disco Edit), plus club-ready reworks from Michael Gray and Mousse T. Expect a tasteful journey through funky house, jackin’ rhythms, and nu-disco textures that’s more cosmopolitan than confrontational—perfect for listeners who want their disco refined but still ready to move.
