Disco House: February 2021 Funky House Mix Selections

Disco House, February 2021 — a Funky House/Disco House mix built around familiar riffs, classic samples and soulful reworks designed for digging into recognisable hooks. This set surveys how contemporary producers repurpose disco and soul, from 90s house revisits to mashups that tuck surprising samples into new arrangements. Highlights include Adeva’s In & Out Of My Life (Michael Gray Remix), DJ Mark Brickman’s takes on Gino Soccio’s Dancer and the Brass Construction–inspired Got Myself Together, plus two recent Jason Walker cuts — All To You (David Morales Classic Mix) and Stronger with Quentin Harris. Soul Avengerz and Krysten Cummings rework Aretha’s R-E-S-P-E-CT while Block & Crown’s extended Let’s Stay Together features Jeff Roberts’ vocal, underlining the set’s soulful core. Expect cheeky pairings and subtle lifts throughout: Crazibiza’s mashups, nu-disco guitar flourishes and jackin’ grooves from producers who wear their influences proudly. If you like soulful dancefloor edits and modern disco reworks, this mix is a tidy primer and a fun crate-dig into sampled history.
