Funky House: Postcards From Disco Paradise (2020)

Funky House mix Postcards From Disco Paradise (2020) closes out the year as a soulful, dancefloor-minded set designed to help you escape the end-of-year noise. This episode collects nu‑disco and disco‑house reinterpretations alongside classic-sampling reworks, putting Purple Disco Machine & Mind Enterprises' "Exotica" and Ian Ossia's rework "Moves At Midnight" center stage as bridges between vintage disco and modern club production. Highlights include Mark Knight feat. Jem Cooke's widescreen "Drowning In Your Love," DJ Meme with Inaya Day & Aline Rocha revamped by Yam Who? on "Satisfy," and a surprising 2020 Club Mix of Liquid Gold's "Dance Yourself Dizzy." The set also features a Steve "Silk" Hurley house remix of Christopher Williams & Carolyn Griffey's "You're The One For Me" and thoughtful housings of soul staples by Adri Block & Paul Parsons. Overall the mix leans more soulful than some past shows while keeping disco's rhythmic pulse, and it tees up Party Favorz's forthcoming year‑end countdowns.
