Funky House 2023: Don't Walk, Dance! Weekend Mix

Funky House, 2023 — Don't Walk, Dance! is a three-hour weekend mix built to lift the mood and keep dancers moving from the first beat. This set opens strong with Soul Avengerz & Adeva's take on “Musical Freedom” and stakes its claim as a disco-infused, vocal-led Funky House journey that balances classic samples with modern production. Highlights include uplifting moments from Mother Of Pearl featuring Pearl Mae, Mike Newman’s Robin S–tinged “Things I Do,” and Illyus & Barrientos with Phebe Edwards on the soulful “Wait.” Mark Knight’s collaboration with Green Velvet and James Hurr adds a big-room flourish, while DJ Oji’s “The Good Ol Dayz” nods to Loleatta Holloway’s “Love Sensation,” threading disco heritage through the mix. The set leans into disco-house and timeless vocal hooks without losing club swing, revisiting classics and fresh reworks from Gary Tuohy to Jason Walker’s Georgie Porgie-produced closer “Joy.” Press play for a mood-elevating, dancefloor-ready three-hour ride.
