Funky House: Disco Cherry (2018 Nu Disco & Soul Mix)

Funky House — Disco Cherry (2018) is a nearly two‑hour Nu Disco, funk and soulful mix assembled to get you dancing. This episode collects modern reworks and straight disco edits, balancing contemporary producers with updated classics across Nu Disco, space disco and soulful house. Highlights include Mousse T. feat. Taz & Inaya Day, Purple Disco Machine, Dirty Disco feat. Debby Holiday’s Imagination (Special 12" Disco Classic Remix), Barry Harris’s 2018 Monster Mix of Cerrone’s Supernature, Blondie’s Heart of Glass (Rob Garza Remix), and a house update of the Rolling Stones’ Gimme Shelter (V’s Uncovered Mix). There’s also an important correction in the set notes: the Ceevox rendition of “Imagination” is a reworking of Gladys Knight & the Pips’ early‑70s original, and Dirty Disco’s releases revisit that song in both classic disco and updated forms. If you enjoy tasteful remixes that honor source material while pushing grooves forward, this Disco Cherry mix ties those threads together with steady flow and plenty of boogie-ready moments.
