Funky House: Disco Nights 2017 Poolside Mix (2-Hour Set)

Funky House Disco Nights 2017 is a pool-ready mix built to kick off summer and the Memorial Day weekend. This episode blends house, disco and funk into a sun-soaked, dancefloor-friendly flow intended for backyard parties, pre-club warmups, or any late-spring soundtrack needs. Highlights include Aeroplane featuring Tawatha Agee and an Aeroplane & Purple Disco Machine turn with Aloe Blacc, plus a soulful Hot Toddy mix from Soul Clap featuring Nona Hendryx. The set also leans into club-weight groovers from Karizma & Marcel Vogel and Rosabel & Terri B, and keeps the throwback energy with a fresh Dr Packer recut of The Shapeshifters’ "Lola’s Theme." Clocking just over two hours, the mix slips between stomping gospel-house moments and disco-inflected deep cuts, favoring warm basslines and singalong hooks. It’s curated for steady momentum rather than nonstop peak-time aggression, with a few surprise remixes and classic edits to keep a poolside crowd smiling.
