Funky House Mix: Have a Nice Day Volume 2 (2011)

This 2011 Funky House DJ mix — Have a Nice Day Volume 2 — collects soulful, vocal-led house cuts and remixes aimed at late-night dancefloors. It leans into groove-forward, funk-tinged arrangements and serves as a compact, DJ-friendly set for listeners who favor warm keys and singalong hooks. Highlights include Frankie Knuckles & The Shapeshifters reworked by DJ Meme, David Penn feat. Monia Amore’s Ocean Drive vocal mix, and Olav Basoski revisits of Stars On 45 and the Party In Miami 2011 edit. The sequencing also takes an unexpected turn with a Mert Hakan & Bayulken remix of Ray Charles’ Hit The Road Jack and a Cyndi Lauper feature on Dirty Freek’s Just Can’t Stop, balancing nostalgia with contemporary club polish. Running roughly 79 minutes, the set favors steady tempos and tasteful remixes from producers like Dr. Kucho!, Stefano Noferini, and Milk & Sugar vs. Vaya Con Dios, making it useful for warmups or deeper grooves when you want soulful energy without heavy peak-time flashiness.
