Funky House: Let's Go Dancin' (Cosmopolitan Dance Music, 2020)

Funky House — Cosmopolitan Dance Music, 2020 — a three-hour set sequenced as a sophisticated late-evening soundtrack of House, Jackin' House, NuDisco and Disco House. Let's Go Dancin' was built for a relaxed, upscale atmosphere where martinis and conversation sit alongside roomy, danceable grooves. Clocking in at about three hours, the mix favors flow and tasteful transitions over peak-hour theatrics. Highlights include David Penn’s 2020 rework of Double Dee & Dany's "Found Love" and Michael Gray’s extended remix of Chanelle & Eric Kupper’s "One Man," with strong moments from Gilgamesh & Jim West and Grant Nelson. Disco-minded turns arrive via Horse Meat Disco and Joey Negro-style edits, while modern club cuts from Louie Vega & The Martinez Brothers and Soulsearcher help bridge classic and contemporary textures. If you enjoy steady, disco-tinged house that sustains a mellow momentum, this set offers a polished three-hour ride.
