Funky House: Disco Pandemic 2020: NuDisco & Jackin House

Funky House mix Disco Pandemic (2020) is a two-hour set built to keep the groove alive while clubs were closed. This episode leans on NuDisco, Jackin House and classic disco-influenced house to modernize familiar grooves for a new listening moment. The set opens with The Vision featuring Andreya Triana (Danny Krivit Remix), a slow-burning 90s-tinged start that was precision-edited to maintain momentum. Highlights include vocal-forward turns from The Shapeshifters feat. Kimberly Davis alongside disco edits from Dr Packer and widescreen, genre-fluid work from Block & Crown. David Penn and Bob Sinclar appear to bridge soulful house and contemporary disco edits, while selections from Armand Van Helden, Waze & Odyssey, and Full Intention nod to the 70s–90s lineage without dwelling in nostalgia. Overall the mix favors smooth, funky arrangements and warm vocals over floor-stompers, making it suited for sustained listening at home or any chilled party environment.
