Funky House & NuDisco: Party For The Weekend (2019)

Funky House and NuDisco mix for 2019 — Party For The Weekend is a fall-ready set of soulful, dancefloor-focused grooves built to warm cooler nights. This episode opens with Andy Bach’s rebuilt intro to “Systematic,” a piano-led house take on a Toto groove, then moves into a string of NuDisco and classic-disco revivals that define the Funky House series. Highlights include three fresh Purple Disco Machine cuts and Roberto Surace’s “Joys” in a Purple Disco Machine extended remix, plus an 80s-flavored Seamus Haji rework of Haji & Emanuel’s “Weekend.” Horse Meat Disco teams with Kathy Sledge for a lush Joey Negro disco blend, and Roisin Murphy gets a Dimitri From Paris & Aeroplane makeover for a glossy, retro vocal moment. Expect loving remakes of disco classics, tasteful extended mixes, and a warm, soulful flow that balances home listening with late-night party energy.
