Funky House Pool Party 2K16: Beach House Edition

Funky House Pool Party 2K16 is the 2016 Beach House Edition — a sunny, disco-leaning mix built for poolside mingling and lazy days at the beach. The set renames the annual Beach House release but keeps the bright, feel‑good disco-house energy listeners expect, running about an hour and a half of summer-ready grooves. The mix opens with a sunlit Rhythm Scholar bootleg of Tears For Fears’ Everybody Wants to Rule the World and moves through warm reworks from Leroy Burgess (OPOLOPO remix) and CeCe Peniston’s Finally (Mark Jay 2016 Remix). Inner City’s Good Life and a soothing Nora En Pure moment balance classic vocal house with melodic beach-house textures, while Crystal Waters’ Gypsy Woman appears in a club edit that keeps the set rooted in familiar dancefloor DNA. The flow favors tasteful retro edits and modern production touches, ending on nostalgic disco notes that leave room for more Trash Disco mixes to follow.
