Funky House / Deep House: Summer XO 2014 Volume 1

This episode is Funky House and Deep House — Summer XO 2014 Volume 1 — a two-set, late-summer sendoff built around moody, after-dark grooves. It’s designed as a darker, introspective contrast to bright disco revivals, the kind of mix for night drives and low-light rooms rather than daytime roller rinks. Highlights thread through pop-to-club pivots and deep reworks: The Ting Tings’ “Wrong Club” (The Super Criticals Club Mix) sets a surprisingly bleak tone, while Mart & Casey’s take on Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” leans into that moody deep-house vibe. Expect club-ready remixes from Cutmore (Sia’s “Chandelier”), Lane 8 (Eric Prydz’s “Liberate”), and MK (Lana Del Rey’s “West Coast”), with Purple Disco Machine and Gene Farris adding warm, textured funk amid the darker selections. Total time: 01:49:43. Part 2 follows tomorrow for anyone wanting to sink further into the set.
