Funky House Summer XO 2014: Volume 2: Sunlit Deep House Mix

A Funky House Summer XO release from 2014, Volume 2 is a sunlit, dancefloor-friendly deep house and nu-disco set built for late-summer listening and backyard BBQs. This nearly two-hour mix gathers bright, vocal-led club tracks and melodic instrumentals to keep the energy warm and portable for daytime play. Highlights include Basement Jaxx’s “Never Say Never,” Duke Dumont’s “Won’t Look Back,” and Kiesza’s “Hideaway” (Danny Dove Rework), with nods to Nora En Pure’s deeper melodic work, Ultra Nate’s Crazibiza remix, and a playful 2014 take on Stardust’s classic. The sequence balances familiar singalong moments with deeper house grooves, making it easy to move between peak vocal cuts and more hypnotic stretches. Host notes mention two new mixtapes already finished, an upcoming Diva Hall of Fame induction, and a site redesign that will roll out in September. Expect more Party Favorz releases in the fall as the schedule shifts into October.
