Funky House: The House Sessions (April 2014) Mix

Funky house mix from The House Sessions series, April 2014 — built to bring sunshine and poolside energy. This 86-minute set leans disco and house, sequenced to lift a slow week and warm up spring gatherings. Highlights include a soulful opener from Jolyon Petch & Sian Evans, the propulsive groove of Oliver $ & Jimi Jules’ “Pushing On,” and Mark Knight’s club-ready remix of Chris Malinchak’s “U Got It.” Bimbo Jones’ Mardi Gras remix of Beverley Knight and Gene Farris’ jackin’ cut provide peak-time funk, while Phil Fuldner gets a punchy WhiteNoize makeover to close out the ride. If you need a feel-good, danceable mix for backyard chilling or a pre-party warm-up, this edition balances singalong hooks and rhythmic drive without overstaying its welcome. Expect original mixes and remixes that favor warm basslines, disco-tinged chords, and steady four-on-the-floor energy.
