Gilmore To Read: Carley Fortune Gave Us The Best Book Of The Summer & The Hottest Rory Gilmore Opinions

No spoilers for One Golden Summer in this episode!

What does the lake and Max Medina have to do with today's episode? They both are a source of inspiration for today's guest, Carley Fortune, author of Reading Is Sexy's May book club pick-- One Golden Summer. THE book of the summer in my opinion. A nostalgic, joyful, reflective and dazzling romance set during a perfect summer on the lake.

Carley Fortune is a journalist turned romance author, so of course as a huge fan of Gilmore girls, she wanted to weigh in on what she thinks of Rory Gilmore as a journalist. Plus she talks about that career transition, her hot takes on Gilmore girls, and how she discovered Alice as the perfect love interest for the much beloved favorite brother from her first novel, Every Summer After.

In May, Reading Is Sexy is reading One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune and Where You Read, I Will Follow is continuing Be Ready When The Luck Happens by Ina Garten!
