165 \\ Living in Limbo? | Faith Crisis: Trusting God and Growing Your Faith

This IS NOT a time to underestimate yourself!

We don’t talk enough about stewarding our own personal power. 

Many of us aren’t trained to be powerful, empowered people.

We get to choose our counselor everyday in every situation.  If we create the habit of choosing the counselor of fear, it will become easier and easier to do—to live bitter, offended, judgmental, condemning and punishing. It will become your character from the repetitive nurturing of that cycle.  Repentance is to turn and literally to learn not on your own understanding but trust in the Lord with all your heart—you listen for and choose love first. 

The media and the world are unrelenting in trying to get us to fall into dishonoring conversations and entice us to be completely unaccountable.  The truth, no chaser—we all can manage our minds, emotions and behavior.  No excuses.

The next time you find yourself judging, ridiculing, being disrespectful or dishonoring towards someone, you better ask yourself where you got permission to behave, think and value like that because you did NOT get it from heaven.

No one is going to force you to choose love, but no one can force you to choose fear.  This is what powerful people do ALL day.

Powerful people direct themselves to choose the counselor of love—moment after moment, situation after situation, day after day, week after week…
