Producer, composer and drummer Leslie Mandoki comes on the Goldmine Podcast to talk about the latest album by prog rock supergroup Mandoki Soulmates, Utopia For Realists. Mandoki Soulmates can be called a supergroup because of its many collaborators — beginning in its infancy with contributions from Jon Lord, Greg Lake and Jack Bruce and currently involving the likes of Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, Mike Stern, Al DiMeola on the latest release. Leslie has stories to share, as a Hungarian refugee in 1975, escaping the Iron Curtain, to working with the late Soulmate bassist Jack Bruce (Cream) to vocalist Eric Burden (Animals, War) and Phil Collins (Genesis), Prog lovers will take a lot from this particular episode.
