Dr. Michael Beckwith's 4 Stages of Spiritual Progress (To Me, By Me, Through Me, AS Me)

1. Victim Stage (to me)
"Something is happening to me. I'm a victim. I live believing that something outside of me determines my destiny, my happiness, my success, and my well-being."

2. Manifestation Stage  (by me)
"I learn to manifest.  I use my mind, my conversation, and spiritual practices... to manifest the kind of life that I can imagine."

3. Surrender Stage (through me)
"I'm yielding. I'm surrendering.  I'm allowing, because I've come to an awareness that the order that we all depend on is none that I make.  That order already exists, and I'm yielding to it, I'm surrendering to it."

4. Oneness (AS me)
In this stage, the line of separation is dissolved, and we feel our oneness with all of life with no filter.

Today's Practice:

Which stage are you hanging out in?  Be honest with yourself, and then practice dropping your 'self' by feeling Love until only this ocean of Love is left.  That's the 4th stage, the Go(o)d one.
