You couldn't hear what God wanted you to do. The phone you held was going off. Family. Friends. You turned it off. And you sat down on the ledge of the balcony outside of your living room loft and closed your eyes. You breathed. You could hear the traffic beneath you. You could feel the Son above you. You reached inside for Him, past the thoughts. Past your solutions, your desire to explain yourself, past your desire to fight. You were still unaware of Ephesians 6:12. You were still unaware that they had interviewed a friend of the office. A writer. A contributor. A creator. That was no stranger in an inbox who had submitted their responses for editing.
