548 Antonio Vivaldi - The Four Seasons Pt 1

As far as I can recall, I have never listened to this entire piece. I have heard parts of it so I am looking forward to digging into the entire score, especially after recently releasing my own version of The Four Seasons on a 4 song EP (Link in the show notes). This this first episode, I will tackle the first two concertos: Spring and Summer, composed in 1723.

Concerto No. 1 in E major, Op. 8, RV 269, "Spring" (La primavera)

1.     Allegro (in E major)

2.     Largo e pianissimo sempre (in C♯ minor)

3.     Allegro pastorale (in E major)

Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 8, RV 315, "Summer" (L'estate)

4.     Allegro non molto (in G minor)

5.     Adagio e piano – Presto e forte (in G minor)

6.     Presto (in G minor)
