For many years I believed if trials were happening in my life I was doing something wrong. In the New Age, I thought I needed to do more shadow work and clear my energy. In propserity gospel Christianity, I believed I needed to fight harder by naming and claiming more promises. Both are true to an extent -- but both leave out the necessary importance of how God used the enemy to prepare Jesus for his destiny.
