What Is the Difference Between Love and Lust? (Song of Solomon) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Today we talk about the difference between love and lust, and why real love can never be forced or earned through physical intimacy. Many young people make choices hoping to find love and acceptance, and those choices can bring real pain. God's grace still brings healing, and our worth is found in who we are in Christ.
"I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the hinds of the field, That you do not arouse or awaken my love Until she pleases." (Song of Solomon 2:7)
Questions this episode answers
What is the difference between love and lust in the Bible?
Love seeks the good of the other person and is patient. Lust seeks to take for itself. Scripture warns against stirring up love before the right time.
Can physical intimacy make someone love you?
No. Love cannot be forced or bought with physical intimacy. Those choices often lead to hurt rather than the love a person was hoping for.
Can God heal regret from past sexual choices?
Yes. God's grace reaches every part of our story. When we bring our regret to Jesus, He forgives, restores, and reminds us of our worth in Him.
