Miracle vs Miracle Worker: John 6:1–35: Daily Devotional, Daily Bible Study

Miracle vs Miracle Worker: John 6:1–35: Daily Devotional, Daily Bible Study

In this episode, Rachael Groll explores how easy it is to chase what God can do for us instead of simply wanting Him. Looking at John 6:36–59, she unpacks why Jesus calls Himself the Bread of Life and what that means for our faith today. Rather than focusing on miracles or quick answers, Rachael helps listeners refocus their hearts on the miracle worker Himself: inviting them to pause, reflect, and ask, “Am I seeking His hand, or His heart?”

Takeaways

We live in a world that gets so captivated by the miracle worker.

Sometimes we forget about the miracle worker.

This passage invites us to wrestle with that question.

We should shift our focus from what he can give us to who he is.

Understanding the identity of the miracle worker is crucial.

Focusing on gifts can distract us from the giver.

Wrestling with questions is part of faith.

The identity of the miracle worker is more important than the miracles.

Miracles can captivate but should not define our faith.

Faith is about relationship, not just gifts.
