What Does It Mean That We Belong to God? (Psalm 100) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Today we look at Psalm 100 and the beautiful salvation message it holds. God makes salvation available to all people for all time, and that truth fills us with hope and joy. We remember that God made us and we are His.
"Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture." (Psalm 100:3)
Questions this episode answers
What is the main message of Psalm 100?
Psalm 100 calls all the earth to worship the Lord with gladness. It reminds us that He made us, we are His people, and His love and faithfulness last forever.
What does it mean that we are the sheep of His pasture?
Sheep depend on a shepherd for food, protection, and direction. Calling us His sheep means God cares for us personally and leads us. Jesus later called Himself the Good Shepherd in John 10.
Why does belonging to God bring joy?
When we know we are His, we do not have to earn our worth or carry life alone. Our joy rests on who God is and what He has done, not on our circumstances.
