What Makes a Godly Leader? (Psalm 101) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
The Bible is full of leaders, some good and some not so good. Today we look at Psalm 101, where David lists what to look for in a leader and what to live out if you lead. These verses reveal the heart of a leader who is after God's own heart.
"I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, To You, O LORD, I will sing praises." (Psalm 101:1)
Questions this episode answers
What does Psalm 101 teach about leadership?
In Psalm 101 David makes promises about how he will lead, with integrity at home, rejecting what is wicked, and choosing faithful people to serve with him. Godly leadership starts in the heart before it shows in public.
What qualities should I look for in a leader?
Psalm 101 points to integrity, humility, honesty, and faithfulness. Verse 6 says David will look for the faithful of the land and those who walk blamelessly. These qualities matter in church, work, and family leadership.
I'm not a leader. Does Psalm 101 apply to me?
Yes. We all influence someone, whether children, friends, or coworkers. Psalm 101:2 talks about walking within your house in integrity, and that applies to every follower of Jesus.
