What Happens When I Choose My Way Over God's? (Psalm 106) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
So many of us choose our own way instead of God's. He may let us follow our own path, but there are consequences for our choices. Today we look at Israel's choices in Psalm 106 and see how God stays faithful because of His great love, and why His plan is always better than ours.
"Nevertheless He looked upon their distress When He heard their cry; And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented according to the greatness of His lovingkindness." (Psalm 106:44-45)
Questions this episode answers
What is Psalm 106 about?
Psalm 106 retells Israel's history of rebellion, from the Red Sea to the wilderness and into the land. Again and again the people forgot God and went their own way. Yet the psalm shows God remembering His covenant and showing mercy when they cried out.
Does God let us make our own choices?
Yes. God often allows us to walk our own path, and Psalm 106 shows that real consequences follow. But His goal is always to draw us back to Him, not to abandon us.
Will God still be faithful if I've wandered?
Psalm 106 shows God's faithfulness rests on His covenant love, not on our performance. When Israel cried out, He heard them. The same is true for us when we turn back to Him through Jesus.
