How Can We Encourage Our Spiritual Leaders? (Psalm 133-134) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

Today we study two short Psalms, Psalm 133 and 134, and look at simple ways we can encourage the spiritual leaders God has placed in our lives. We also talk about unity and why it matters so much for the body of Christ.

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)

Questions this episode answers

What does Psalm 133 say about unity?

Psalm 133 says it is good and pleasant when God's people live together in unity. It compares that unity to precious oil running down Aaron's beard and to the dew of Hermon, both pictures of blessing. Unity among believers is something God values and blesses.

What is Psalm 134 about?

Psalm 134 is the last of the Songs of Ascents. It calls the servants of the Lord who serve in His house at night to lift their hands and bless Him. It ends with a blessing from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

How can I encourage my pastor or spiritual leaders?

Start by praying for them and blessing them, just as Psalm 134 pictures. Say thank you, protect the unity of your church, and refuse gossip that divides. Leaders carry real weight, and simple encouragement can strengthen them.
