Does God Heal the Brokenhearted? (Psalm 147:3-4) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

Today we study Psalm 147 and meet the God who heals the brokenhearted and provides for those in need. The same God who counts the stars and calls each one by name knows you by name too. I pray this encourages you, friend, because you are so loved.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3)

Questions this episode answers

What does Psalm 147:3 mean?

It says God personally cares for people who are hurting, healing hearts and binding up wounds. The picture is gentle and close, like someone tending an injury. In this psalm, God's great power and His tender care go together.

Why does Psalm 147 mention God naming the stars?

Verse 4 says God counts the stars and calls each one by name. If He knows every star, He surely knows you. His greatness is the reason His care for us can be trusted.

Where do I turn when my heart is broken?

Bring your hurt openly to God in prayer, just as the psalm writers did. Psalm 147 reminds us He sees the brokenhearted and provides for those in need. Let a trusted friend or your church family walk with you too.
