How Do I Prepare My Heart While Waiting on God? (Psalm 24:3-4) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

Today we look at Psalm 24 and what it means to prepare our hearts for God, the King of glory. Clean hands and a pure heart are two keys for how we wait in seasons when it feels like God is taking too long.

"Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart" (Psalm 24:3-4)

Questions this episode answers

What does "clean hands and a pure heart" mean?

Clean hands point to right actions, and a pure heart points to right motives. Together they describe a life that is open and honest before God, made possible through Jesus.

Who is the King of glory in Psalm 24?

The King of glory is the Lord, strong and mighty (Psalm 24:8, 24:10). Christians see this fulfilled in Jesus, the King who reigns forever.

What should I do when God seems slow?

Keep your heart ready and your hands clean while you wait. God's timing is not late, and the waiting can be a season of growth.
