How Do I Honor God When People Around Me Don't? (Psalm 26) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
In Psalm 26 David is surrounded by what feels like enemies and hypocrites. It can be so hard to live for the Lord when others around us are not. Today we look at how David walked in that tension, and how you can honor God even when your environment does not.
"For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I have walked in Your truth." (Psalm 26:3)
Questions this episode answers
What is Psalm 26 about?
David asks God to examine his heart and says he has walked in integrity and trusted the Lord (Psalm 26:1-2). He chooses not to sit with deceitful people and instead loves the place where God dwells (Psalm 26:4-8).
How can I stay faithful when others around me are not?
Keep God's love in front of you and keep walking in His truth (Psalm 26:3). Choose your close companions wisely and stay connected to worship.
Is Psalm 26 saying David was sinless?
No. David is describing a heart sincerely devoted to God, not claiming perfection. He still asks God to redeem him and be gracious to him (Psalm 26:11).
