How Can I Have Peace When I Feel Afraid? (Psalm 27:1) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Psalm 27 was written when war was always on David's mind, and many of us carry that kind of tension today. Today we look at how David leaned on God's protection and peace. His response shows us that we can have peace, even in the tension.
"The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?" (Psalm 27:1)
Questions this episode answers
What is Psalm 27 about?
David declares his confidence in God even while enemies surround him. He longs to dwell in God's house and seek His face (Psalm 27:4, 27:8), and he ends by urging us to wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:14).
How do I find peace when I feel unsafe?
Like David, we can name God as our light, our salvation, and our defense (Psalm 27:1). Peace comes from focusing on who God is, not on the size of the threat.
What does "wait for the LORD" mean in Psalm 27:14?
It means trusting God's timing with courage. David says to be strong and let your heart take courage while you wait.
