Who Is God When I Feel Broken or Lost? (Psalm 28) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
The Psalms show David's emotions in a raw, open way, and we feel many of the same things. Today we look at how David names God in Psalm 28 as his rock, his strength, and his shield. Those names remind us who God is when we are broken, lost, or hurting.
"The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him." (Psalm 28:7)
Questions this episode answers
What names for God appear in Psalm 28?
David calls God his rock (Psalm 28:1), his strength and shield (Psalm 28:7), and the saving defense of His anointed (Psalm 28:8). He ends by asking God to shepherd His people (Psalm 28:9).
Is it okay to be emotional with God?
Yes. David cries out for God to hear him (Psalm 28:2). God welcomes real, open prayer, and the Psalms give us words for it.
How can remembering God's names help when I'm hurting?
Each name tells us something true about God's character. When our feelings shift, those truths stay steady and give us something to hold onto.
