Is God More Powerful Than the Enemy? (Psalm 29) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Our world can feel out of control, and it is easy to think the enemy is winning. Psalm 29 shows David speaking to that same feeling. Today we look at how the God David worshiped is the God we serve, and He is more powerful than the enemy even when it does not feel that way.
"The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace." (Psalm 29:11)
Questions this episode answers
What is Psalm 29 about?
Psalm 29 describes the voice of the Lord thundering over the waters, breaking cedars, and shaking the wilderness. It shows God's power over all creation and ends with Him giving strength and peace to His people.
Is the enemy winning in the world today?
It can look that way, but Scripture says the Lord sits as King forever (Psalm 29:10). Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and evil does not get the final word.
How can God's power give me peace?
Because God reigns, we do not have to carry the weight of the world. Psalm 29:11 says the Lord blesses His people with peace.
