How Do I Find Healing From Guilt Over My Sin? (Psalm 32:5) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Today we look at Psalm 32, where David describes the weight of hiding his sin and the freedom that came when he finally confessed. Healing starts with confession, and God meets us there with forgiveness. The same God David knew longs to know us, too.
"I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"; And You forgave the guilt of my sin." (Psalm 32:5)
Questions this episode answers
Why does confession matter if God already knows my sin?
Confession is not giving God new information. It is agreeing with Him and coming out of hiding. David says that while he kept silent his body wasted away, but when he confessed, God forgave (Psalm 32:3-5).
Will God really forgive me?
Yes. 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us. Psalm 32 opens by calling the forgiven person blessed.
How do I stop feeling guilty after I confess?
Trust what God says over what you feel. Through Jesus your sin is covered, so let the truth of His forgiveness settle in as you keep walking with Him.
