Will God Deliver Me From My Fears? (Psalm 34:4) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Today we look at Psalm 34 and the promises tucked inside it. A promise is only as good as the relationship behind it, and God's promises come alive as we seek Him. We talk about how God answers, rescues, and steps in on behalf of His people.
"I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears." (Psalm 34:4)
Questions this episode answers
What does Psalm 34 promise?
It promises that God hears those who seek Him and delivers them from their fears and troubles (Psalm 34:4, 34:17). It also says the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Why do God's promises depend on a relationship with Him?
God gives His promises to His people in the context of knowing Him. Psalm 34 ties deliverance to seeking the Lord and taking refuge in Him. We receive His promises by trusting Him, not by using them as a formula.
Does God always remove my problems?
Psalm 34:19 says the righteous have many afflictions, but the Lord delivers them out of them all. God may rescue us from a hard situation or carry us through it. Either way, He is near.
