How Do I Keep Hoping While I Wait on God? (Psalm 43) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
When we are stuck in the tension between waiting and hoping, it can be hard to see the other side. Yet God longs for us to have joy in His presence. Today we look to Psalm 43 to learn how to lean into these seasons instead of running from them.
"O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places." (Psalm 43:3)
Questions this episode answers
How are Psalm 42 and Psalm 43 connected?
Many scholars read Psalms 42 and 43 as one song because they share the same refrain. Both ask, Why are you in despair, O my soul? Both answer with a call to hope in God.
How can I find joy while I'm still waiting?
Psalm 43 points us to God Himself as our joy, not only the answer we're waiting for. The writer asks God to lead him back into His presence. Joy grows as we draw near to Him in the waiting.
