What Does It Mean That God Is King of All the Earth? (Psalm 47) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Today we look at Psalm 47, which compares God's reign to the earthly kings of that time. God always has been and always will be on the throne. Because of that, we can praise Him and rest, knowing He wants to be King of our hearts too.
"For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with a skillful psalm. God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne." (Psalm 47:7-8)
Questions this episode answers
What is Psalm 47 about?
Psalm 47 calls every nation to clap and shout to God as the great King over all the earth. It sets Him apart from earthly rulers who rise and fall. Christians read it as pointing to Jesus, who is King for all people, for all time.
How can God's reign help me rest?
If God is on the throne, nothing in your life is outside His care. That frees us to praise Him and trust Him with what we can't control. He wants to be King of your heart, not only King of the world.
