What is Psalm 60 about?

Psalm 60 comes from a time of military defeat, when it felt like God had rejected His people. David is honest about that pain, then turns to God's promises and asks for help. It ends with confidence that victory comes through God, not human strength.

Why does it feel like God has abandoned me in hard times?

Seasons of chaos can make God feel distant, and Scripture does not hide that feeling. Psalm 60 shows David bringing that honest question straight to God. Feeling far from God is not the same as being abandoned, because His faithfulness does not depend on our feelings.

How do I trust God when I don't understand?

Trust grows when we remember who God is and what He has promised. Psalm 60:11 says deliverance by man is in vain, so David leans on God instead. We can do the same by holding onto His character when our circumstances don't make sense.
