How Are Creation and Redemption Connected? (Psalm 65) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Today we study Psalm 65, a community hymn that celebrates God's goodness. Only the Creator can redeem His creation, and this psalm ties those two together. We also see the theme of grace, which should stir up a thankful heart in us as believers.
"Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You forgive them." (Psalm 65:3)
Questions this episode answers
What is Psalm 65 about?
Psalm 65 praises God who forgives sin, answers prayer, and cares for the earth. It moves from God's grace toward His people to His rich provision in creation. It was likely sung as a hymn of thanksgiving.
How are creation and redemption connected?
The God who made the world is the same God who rescues it. Psalm 65 praises Him for forgiving sins and for watering the land and crowning the year with bounty. Both show His goodness and power.
Why should grace lead to thankfulness?
Grace is a gift we could never earn. When we see that God forgives our transgressions, gratitude is the natural response. Psalm 65 models that kind of thankful worship.
